Interior designer and empathic psy, Jordan Hayes, is overworked and stressed out. With her best friend and business partner Val away on her honeymoon and their office manager out on medical leave, work is piling up into a nearly unmanageable mess. On top of that, there’s a skunk, or possibly several skunks, living in her warehouse, stinking up all of her inventory. Worst of all, her ex is blackmailing her with a cryptic threat about exposing her secret. There’s only one secret Jordan would consider paying to keep quiet— the fact that she’s an empathic psy. She’s never met anyone with abilities like hers until she crosses paths with a sexy, scarred, and seemingly coldhearted man intent on bursting her bubble of safety.

Luke Daniels has been through a lot in the last few years. He survived an experiment that turned him into an empathic psy with an unpredictable side talent of telekinesis and, after being hurt during a mission to shut down an unethical research lab, he was given the option to become a hawk shifter or succumb to his injuries. He surprised himself by choosing to live and become a shifter. Nobody’s ever accused Luke of being a cinnamon roll but he’s not as cold and mean as he appears. Life has made him guarded, but when he meets interior designer Jordan, he falls fast and hard for the kind, beautiful psy. But would she ever want a guy like him?

With a serial killer on the loose, targeting psy women, Luke makes it a priority to keep Jordan safe. He pushes her to test the limits of her psy strengths and gives her lessons in self-defense. When Jordan proposes that they spend their holidays together, he readily agrees. Though he knows that his past might make a future with Jordan impossible, he’ll take whatever time he can get with her.

An entrepreneur attempting to create an indestructible empire of greed has his sights set on Jordan, convinced she’s an easy target. On a day that starts with the promise of snow and festivities, Jordan and Luke will have to put everything on the line to survive and save the lives of dozens of captives. Will the bond growing between the two of them get severed or will they win the fight against everyone and everything standing in their way?
