Welcome back, Bite Me Box readers! This week in our read along of The Never List by Jade Presley, we’re diving into some serious revelations. Emotional breakthroughs, hidden secrets, and plenty of romantic heat made for a spicy and suspenseful Week Three.

Axl & Rylee: All Heat, Little Heart?
Rylee’s visit to Axl’s city starts off sweet—meeting his mother was a lovely moment—but their connection feels more physical than emotional. The steamy romance scenes are definitely a highlight, but I’m still waiting for something deeper between them.
Rylee accepting Axl’s token shows some growth in their bond, but it’s her bravery during the Faders’ attack that really stood out. Instead of hiding, she fights to protect his people—highlighting her courage and leadership. Her challenge to the kings? Spot on. They could stop the Faders. So…why don’t they?
Theory Time: Are the kings hiding something? Could one of them be connected to the Faders? What if the resistance is led by demis—or Rylee’s long-lost sister?
The Pierce Time Jump
Pierce’s month with Rylee jumps forward quickly, and while we’re told they develop an emotional bond, I did miss seeing it unfold in real time. Still, I loved the moment when she shares her thoughts with him directly, showing her trust.
The bribe from Pierce’s father adds weight to their relationship, and Rylee choosing to share her mind with Pierce was powerful.
Not to mention…the first sex scene between them is emotional and revealing. Rylee’s ability to identify the real Pierce from his clone was a nice symbolic moment—she knows him now.
Secrets & Suspicion
We also learn that someone forged Rylee’s fake background, but it wasn’t her friends. That’s a juicy breadcrumb. Who’s protecting her—and why?
And finally: Pierce knows her secret. He agrees to keep it until she’s ready to tell the others. Their mutual trust is growing, but let’s be honest…she’s still holding back when it comes to Jax. And we all know her final month with him is going to be explosive.
I have a feeling that’s when we’ll get the biggest reveal yet.
