by Award-Winning Author Asa Maria Bradley

She has new powers, but is she strong enough to control them when old enemies arise?

Twin kids are being abducted across the country–with one left behind drugged and positioned like a corpse, while the other vanishes faster than a lightning strike. No sound, no trace, no clue.

Forensic artist Molly Nyland is determined to find the kidnappers and the lost kids, and while she’s come to terms with her bizarre ability to detect when someone holds back the whole truth, she does not have time to master new powers that may burn her alive. To complicate matters more, her sexy detective boyfriend still struggles with PTSD while cultivating his own strange new abilities.

Then because child abductors, unpredictable supernatural talents, and PTSD aren’t enough, Molly and her boyfriend must join with Molly’s ex in order to solve the case of the missing kids. The increased strain threatens to break their relationship, and that’s before old foes resurface to hunt Molly again.

The only way for her to find the missing children and combat the enemy…is by jumping straight into the rising storm.

Excerpt from Flash Of Fate:

Molly stared at Des. His gaze burned into hers, igniting flames all along her nerves.

In his eyes she saw admiration, love, and so much heat. Something primitive inside her responded to the wild fever she saw in him.

She moved her hips against the hard bulge at his crotch.

“Molly,” he warned with a low growl.

“Take me,” she whispered. “I want you to take me hard.”

His eyes burned with even more intensity. His nostrils flared, and he flipped her over.

The clink of metal let her know he’d unbuckled his pants, and then a whoosh whispered as he pulled the belt out of the loops.

She pushed herself up on her elbows, watching him over her shoulder.

He smiled at her, a wicked, wicked smile.

She bit her lip in anticipation.

Meet Award-Winning Author Asa Maria Bradley

Asa Maria Bradley grew up in Sweden surrounded by archaeology and history steeped in Norse mythology, which inspired her sexy modern-day Viking Warriors paranormal romance series. She also writes urban fantasy about empowered heroines who kick ass while saving the world.

Booklist attributes her writing with “nonstop action, satisfying romantic encounters, and intriguing world building” and Entertainment Weekly says “when it comes to paranormal romance with explosive action scenes, Bradley has that nailed.” Her work has received the honors of a double nomination for the Romance Writers of America’s RITA contest, a Reviewers’ Choice Award nomination, a Holt Medallion win, and a Booksellers’ Best Award win.

Asa came to the United States as a high school exchange student and quickly fell in love with ranch dressing and crime TV dramas of all flavors, two addictions she unfortunately still struggles with. Currently, she lives on a lake deep in the forest of the Pacific Northwest with a British husband and a rescue dog of indeterminate breed. Sadly, neither of them obeys any of her commands.

Interview with Asa Maria Bradley:

Q: Hi Asa. Tell us a little about yourself.

AMB:  Hi! I’m Asa Maria Bradley and I’m originally from Sweden. I came to the US as a high school exchange student and then just kind of stayed. I went to college in Texas and graduate school in Colorado before I got a job in California. That’s where I met my British husband and currently, we live in Washington State. My books are mainly paranormal romance and urban fantasy, which is also what I love to read. I’ve tried writing other genres, but somehow something fantastical always makes its way into the story, or a mythical creature or two shows up on the page. When I don’t write, I teach physics at a local community college. Basically, I’m super lucky in that I have to jobs that I love, teaching and writing.

Q: Why paranormal? What drew you to the genre?

AMB:  I’ve always loved fairy tales, myths, and folklore—still do. There’s something amazing in how almost every culture’s story-telling tradition includes tales with fantastical creatures and magical events, and how that was incorporate in order to explain the unexplainable. But the other part of that is also how those stories inspired hope in that they fostered belief in miracles and good things happening to good people. We still carry on that tradition in movies, books, and graphic novels.

Q: For those who are new to your books, what is the story about?

AMB:  I currently write two series. I have a paranormal romance series about immortal Vikings that have been sent back to current times from Valhalla by Odin in Freya in order to protect humanity from Loki and his evil minions. That series draws heavily on Norse mythology which is something I’ve been fascinated with since I was young. My other series is the Power of Lightning series. An Urban Fantasy about a forensic artist who was hit by lightning as a young girl. That accident gave her special powers, but also scarred her horribly, but physically and emotionally.

Q: Tell us about your heroine. What inspired her quirks and struggles?

AMB:  In the Power of Lightning series, Molly is exceptionally good at drawing forensic composite sketches because she can tell when people don’t tell the whole truth of what they witnessed and can then guide them toward a more accurate description. However, if it ever became known that a bunch of criminals are behind bars because she has these supernatural powers, the justice system would collapse and all of those cases would have to be retried. So, Molly has to keep her abilities a secret, which makes for a kind of lonely existence.

Q: Tell us about your hero. What motivates him?

AMB:  Des is an exceptionally good detective and very good at ferreting out secrets. He and Molly have a history in that they hooked up in the past when Molly was consulting on a case in his old department. Now, he’s in a new town where he’s trying to prove himself and seeing Molly again is messing with his mind. Not only because he’s impossibly attracted to her, but also because he can tell she’s keeping secrets from him. So, that makes for all kinds of fun and sizzling chemistry between them.

Q: Is any part of your story or the characters based on personal experience?

AMB:  Note personal experience per say, but the Power of Lightning series was inspired when I interviewed a forensic artist for a magazine article I was writing. And then by coincidence, I read both a fiction and non-fiction books about people who had been hit by lightning. All of that percolated in my brain for a while and all of a sudden Molly walked onto the page and started talking to me.

Q: Where can our readers find you? (Social media, website, etc.)

AMB:  I hang out online way more than I should and people can find me all over the place.
