(A Dark Dragon Shift Romance)
by Delta James
He has awakened to claim a mate, but first he must tame her.
When the spell that put him to sleep was cast, Kellan thought his rest would last forever, but after centuries of slumber he has been awakened at last. Now instinct demands that he claim a mate and sire offspring with her to rebuild his species and reclaim their rightful place in the world.
Mioruilt has the blood of dragons in her veins and taming her will not be easy, but he wouldn't want it to be. Even while he slumbered he dreamed of her… of all the things he would do to her, of how sternly he would punish her defiance and how shamefully he would ravage her.
Now it is time.
Excerpt from Sealord by Delta James:
His brilliant blue eyes swept over her curves. As she had when he had removed her cloud covering, she now blushed and tried to hide her luscious body from his sight.
He seized her wrists in one of his large hands. “You will not hide yourself from me,” he commanded. “I am Kellan, Lord of the Seas.”
She struggled against him. “Let go of me.”
He smiled, feeling his cock begin to harden in response to her loveliness. “I think not. Who are you?”
“No one who wants anything to do with you.”
“That is not your choice. You are a female of breeding age and I am in need of a mate.”

Interview with Delta James:
Q: Hi Delta! Tell us, why paranormal? What drew you to the genre?
DJ: Why paranormal? I’d love to tell you that it was the only thing I ever read or I was inspired by some personal experience to do so. But it isn’t so. The hero of Brought to Heel, Dylan Grainger, knocked on the door of my subconscious and said “I have a story to tell.” And what a story it turned out to be! That first novel inspired the Wayward Mates series (of eight books), which has in turn inspired three other post-apocalyptic paranormal series, two of which are still ongoing. SeaLord, just released on May 29 th , is the second in my dragon-shifter series.
Q: For those who are new to your books, what is the story about?
DJ: SeaLord is the second in my Elemental Dragons series. The first was DragonLord. The series is about the last dragons, the lords of the elements, who enlisted the aid of a witch to cast a spell to put them to sleep when the last of their females and the last clutch of eggs was destroyed. Gideon, Lord of the Earth and the hero of DragonLord, is the first to wake. Kellan, Lord of the Seas and the hero of SeaLord, is the second. It turns out that not all of the eggs were destroyed and one has hatched. That dragon is female and has grown up. She wants nothing to do with being Kellan’s “true heart,” which doesn’t bother Kellan one little bit!
Q: Is any part of your story or the characters based on personal experience?
DJ: I think all of my female characters have some of my own personality traits, not the least of which is being stubborn, proud and not submissive by nature. But like me, they can and do fall for their true love once he has proven himself to be worthy of her love and submission to him.
All of my heroes have bits and pieces of the men I have loved.
I believe that readers want and can feel authenticity in your characters, especially if the setting is not contemporary, real world or deals with the paranormal. My readers tell me that is what they like about my books… they feel that the characters are real – someone they’d like to go to brunch with!
Q: What is your ideal reading experience?
DJ: Sitting on a porch swing, swinging back and forth, surrounded by the sounds and scents of nature and listening to my basset hounds play.
Q: What is your favorite part of being a published author?
DJ: Easiest question ever!!! Readers. I adore my readers and knowing that I can, for a short while take them away from their lives and entertain them with my alpha heroes and feisty heroines. Unlike many authors who are introverts, author/reader events are my crack cocaine!
Q: And finally, where can our readers find you? (Social media, website, etc.)
