Gabrielle Steven's sister is missing. Her hunt for clues brings her face to face with the one vampire she can't forget. Their missions combine and thrust them into the heart of evil. Will their passion be enough to overcome the pain from their past, or will their dark desires destroy them both?

“The Reviews are in”:

Hot vampire warriors…check, strong females to keep them on their toes…check, crazy blood lusting bad guys (and girls)…check, hot kinky sex…double check!

This is a series not to be missed. As the second book in the series, you will want to go back and read the first novel to see where this began. Ms. Lee has found a great balance here where you even like the bad guy, well most of the time.

Lee’s characters and so well written you will fall in love (or lust) with them. Her vampires are not the sparkly type; they are raw and rough. In addition, the bad guys and girls are oh la la kinky! It would seem after several hundred years vanilla sex got boring, which makes you interested in what is going on in the colony of badness.

DEADs or Death Ephoria Addicts, were the sick vampires who got their rocks off by draining their human victims dry. DEADs were merciless and it had been the Enclave’s job to curtail their activities.   ~Who the bad people are in this series.

Arran MacLain left the Enclave after his partner betrays them and their headquarters attacked. He also leaves because of his attraction to Gabrielle (Elle). Because of his past as an assassin, he believes she would be better off with his fellow warrior Logan.

She was reason one why he’d left and his ass sat in a bar a couple of hundred miles away form the Enclave’s headquarters. Reason number two: his former partner, Markus. The vampire who’d betrayed them all with the Master of the Enclave’s psychotic sire, Marguerite.   ~Why Arran left the Enclave and is working on his own.

When Elle’s sister goes missing, she takes a ‘vacation’ to find her. She does not tell her Enclave friends. However, she runs into the one person she thought she would never see again…Arran MacLain.

These two characters are explosive together. It is beyond the nice girl likes a bad boy. Elle is a damaged woman who needs healing; Arran is a man who needs forgiveness…from himself. Collectively the two of them could be what the other needs if they only give each other the chance.

Discovering they are working on a case that intertwines, throws them together professionally and physically. More over it brings up old demons for both of them as well as the Enclave.

“I learned last night that the colony running Wicked Way…” “Yeah.” “It belongs to Markus and Marguerite.”   ~Arran letting Elle know what they are up against.

After being thrown together to work on finding Elle’s sister, Alex, and capture Markus, Elle and Arran feel the pull of attraction to each other. Arran wants to warn her off him and tries to let her know she is not ready to be with a vampire, due to her past. Even though she see trough him and knows what he is doing, he gets to her and angers her.

“Go to hell, MacLain.” “Been there. Many times,” he said with half a smile. “The guy with the horns keeps a seat hot for me.”   ~Elle to Arran after he tries to scare her away from him.

Eventually the Enclave will have to be notified and Elle and Arran will have to decide about their relationship. By pulling the characters from the first Enclave novel into the story line of the second one, it brings another dimension to the story.

It is gut wrenching and plot twisting. This story will keep you on your toes and in the very end leave you with an appetite for more from the Enclave. Ms. Lee has struck a cord with her excellent plot lines for vampire and kink fans alike.
