Wolves and the River of Stone
(Vesik Series, Book 2)

Philip, Zola’s boyfriend from one hundred and fifty years ago, is not nearly as dead as we thought. I really wish he was. Not only has he kidnapped Zola, but he’s raising an army to scour humanity from the earth. Hopefully the local werewolf pack will help. What could possibly go wrong?

Our review of Wolves and the River of Stone:

This book picks up almost exactly where book 1, Days Gone Bad, ended and if you haven't read the first one my suggestion would be to read it first so that you can experience 100% of the excitement, thrills, enjoyment and total immersion in a world you will not want to leave from Wolves and The River of Stone.

I must applaud Eric Asher, I LOVED his first book! He is an amazing storyteller that has that unique ability to teleport his readers to the time and place he is writing about. He creates believable characters even if they are creatures that, shall we say, do not normally appear in nature. His story line development is nearly flawless. Reading one of his books is to become an active participant in his world.

Damian is one of my favorite male characters. He is just a great guy, funny, engaging, cool, would be fun to have a drink with, oh and I probably should mention he is a necromancer that is evolving but we have no clue what he is evolving into. The one thing I am certain of is that Damian is a good guy! He takes us on a thrill ride where he must battle a dark necromancer, who has ‘returned from the dead' after 150 years and has taken Zola hostage. He has to rescue his master with the help of his merry band of unlikely friends and along the way he develops a relationship with a local wolf pack.

Again I come back to Eric's amazing story telling abilities, there is every creature imaginable and some you maybe never imagined in this book but they are all so beautifully written that you will truly believe they along with Damian are out there somewhere battling evil and saving the day.

To say that this book has it all is an understatement. It is truly an awesome read and one I waited for. I now find myself waiting for the next installment in Damian's adventures. Write fast Eric, write fast.

01 - Days Gone Bad - 400x600

Days Gone Bad
(Vesik Series Book 1)

My name is Damian Valdis Vesik. I am a necromancer, an ability feared and hated as much as the powers my master and I set ourselves against. We've vanquished many evils, but now something is releasing an old darkness, forcing us to hunt an enemy beyond anything I’ve faced before. I was already busy enough with vampires, fairies, witches, Watchers, weddings, and … damn, I need a vacation.
