Weavingshaw Read Along | Week Four
Finale Reactions, Leena’s Fate & Silas’s Sacrifice
Welcome back to Week Four, the final week of our read along for Weavingshaw by Heba Al-Wasity.
What a ride this last section was.
The ending was perfect for the first book in a fantasy romance series, balancing emotional payoff with just enough heartbreak and unanswered questions to leave me desperate for book two.
St. Silas’s Journey Through the River Was Perfect
Okay, lots to talk about in the last quarter of this book, and it gave me so much of what I wanted—and didn’t want—but in the best way.
St. Silas traversing that river and being taunted by the promise of Leena, of his morals being revealed, of his past hauntings…it’s all the perfect balance of horror and longing.
Of survival.
It allowed us to see him unravel a bit, and I truly loved that glimpse into who Bram really is beneath all the control and restraint.
Why the Romance Between Leena & Silas Works
It also helped set us up for the kiss in real life and how Leena’s feelings mirrored St. Silas’s.
Neither of them wanting to persuade the other when they can’t truly choose.
It’s such a great juxtaposition for two very different reasons that amount to the same thing: how much they care about each other.
And honestly? The slow burn in this series is painful in the best possible way.
Lady Hargreave’s POV Added So Much Depth
Learning about Bram’s past from Lady Hargreave’s POV was perfect.
It layered the love of a mother with her inability to protect Bram from his father. From her husband.
Understanding what mattered more to the men in this world than the people living in it became sickeningly clear through greed, ambition, and power.
And all of that pairs beautifully with the demonic presence threaded throughout the story.
Rami’s Choices Raise the Stakes Again
Of course, Rami’s stupidity comes back around, forcing St. Silas to challenge Martin to a duel, only to be betrayed once more by Hargreave and poisoned to force compliance again.
And thank god Silas warned Leena, gave her a gun, and taught her to shoot.
The Fray’s attempted chase was such a sharp, fast beat of action, and it continues making Leena more like Silas.
Which is fascinating considering she’s also becoming his weakness.
And making him softer for her.
I love how complicated their relationship is becoming.
The Escape Scene & That Kiss
Especially when they escape, crash, and Leena is forced to spill her secrets just to keep him awake and moving.
The lying about being his wife.
Taking care of him.
The little leniencies he allows while being close to her.
And then…the kiss.
It wasn’t quite what I had imagined, but it was enough for me to be okay with nothing more happening in book one.
I can wait for book two.
Especially with everything else going on in this story.
Leena’s Reveal Was Worth the Build-Up
Because where we ended with Orley, the demon world, and Silas releasing Leena from her contract?
Wham. Right in the heart.
And you know what?
I was right.
Leena being the limitless vessel, Silas not knowing, and him wanting to keep her safe is the absolute perfect whirlwind ending to leave me begging for book two.
Final Verdict on Weavingshaw
There was so much to process in this finale.
So tell me—what are your thoughts?
Final verdict for Weavingshaw?
It’s five stars for me.
